Rex Envoy Safety Razor

Fantastic razor, excellent workmanship, beautifully balanced, provides a close and comfortable shave.

Not cheap but shaves well and made to a very high quality.

I have been DR shaving for over two decades and purchased this Rex Envoy razor to replace an American Weber Stainless Steel double edged razor. The Rex razor is a fantastic work of art with quality engineering and attention to detail. It feels perfectly balanced in your hand and there is no chance of it slipping with the perfectly machined grip on the handle. I bought the Rex stand which machined from a solid piece of stainless steel and feels as though it will still be here in a thousand years. The shave is the best that I have ever had. Really pleased with this purchase.

This razor is, at first glance, a jewel of mechanical construction, a work of art in 316 steel.
Heavy and balanced, an object with which it is instantaneous to find the right feeling.
I love shaving every morning, so I put the razor to the test immediately and for a few consecutive mornings.
The choice of the right razor blade (for me it's the Personna Platinum) and a very light hand allow this razor to be used every morning.
Mind you, this is a razor that (I imagine) is designed for much longer beards than the daily one (we're talking about an Ambassador set at 3/3.5), so it's a snap to go from a pleasant shave to an annoying scrub.
Treated with due respect, it proves to be a deep and gentle razor.
