Flagship Matte Paste (4oz)

This product works well aslong as you keep your hair moisturised and soft, the hold is ok but think there maybe better products on the market.

My hair is mediumly thick, around 6 inches, and I style it into a modern( semi-voluminous) slick back. I needed something matte-natural, strong in hold but light in weight (I think everybody needs this no matter ther hair xd), a bit pliable ( not a fixed sticking hold ), giving volume and texture without being overly dried like most strong clays i’ve encountered. I’ve tried Black Label clay (nice but not strong enough); Oasis clay (strong but too heavy in terms of weight + dryness that doesn’t hold); Shear Revival Gray Ghost (Strong hold, semi-matte, kind of a semi fixed-pliable hold, can get greasy with buildup). Nostalgic Clay was the one that gave me the results i wanted ( natural shine with a strong and smooth pliable hold ) but now isn’t as strong as the old good formulation. Now here it is: I’ve found the top of what I wanted with this one. Rub this hard, it’s strong and lightweight, a real matty without being dry af, kinda semi-smooth, will rips some hair but you don’t mind it when you see how awesome your hair looks + the buildup is not greasy and heavy on weight as with most ones; it’s dry, clean and really suppports restyling your hair as good as yesterday. I hope this will help a lot of you to decide, keep trying.

I’ve tried a lot of different hair products and this really is my favourite. I have pretty thick wavy hair and I just want a loose, textured, pomp with good height. That is exactly what this product gives. A lot of clay products (Layrite cement, Reuzel Extreme matte finish) have great hold, but they are difficult to restyle during the day. This product stays pliable and makes my hair look great. Will now be my go to product.
