"We love Asian culture and especially food. I’m very fortunate to be able to travel throughout the world and spent a considerable amount of time in the Asian Pacific region. My experiences have allowed me translate these into my art, which is soap making and creating fragrances. Chiang Mai was created by Thalia Ariana and myself, with a scent which is uniquely different and unlike anything you have smelled before. Many of the oils used come directly from Thailand. The inspiration is from all the beautifully fragrant smells which engulf your senses from this part of the world. Many of the ingredients are also used when creating wonderful Thai and Vietnamese food. The scent of Chiang Mai is fresh, fragrant and mouth watering. It really smells like an open air market in the countryside. You’ll be able to pick out the fresh basil and lemongrass with a hint of coconut milk and citruses such as the kaffir lime which comes direct from Thailand." - Peter Charkalis
